The million-dollar question is
how to be a successful online market. What are needed mostly behind the scene?
Then the answer according to me
should be Generating Traffic. Traffic (viewers/visitors) is the main factor to
get started as marketer. The most important thing is having the skills to
generate targeted traffic for your marketing.
Say, you have started a small
online business. You have designed your e-commerce site commercially, you have
your entire product to launch and everything you need. But you don’t have any
traffic in your site (just imagine!!). So, what do you expect from your online
store? A lot of money every month or the dream to earn a lot of money?
The rational output of your
online business should be “Nothing at all”.
So, to turn your dream into
reality you need just traffic to your site. Traffic works as water for your
site without which we cannot live. Similarly without traffic your site will
remain lifeless.
Now, you are of course thinking
nothing but about traffic, right? Don’t think it over and over again. Instead
try to make an actionable plan for generating traffic.
Online traffic is of two types. One
of them is organic traffic or free traffic and another one is paid traffic. If
you have enough money to invest and don’t have patience to wait then you can
directly go for paid traffic. There are a number of advertising platform you
can deal with.
On the other hand, if you have
enough time in your hand then you can go for organic traffic. In this case, you
also need patience and the ability to work hard. But in comparable with paid
traffic, organic traffic are evergreen traffic for your site. So, this traffic
has an everlasting impact on your business.
Generating Free Traffic
The most preferable and reliable
traffic source is organic traffic, according to me. And I like the method
personally very much. Now question is how to generate free traffic, isn’t it?
Okay! Let me illustrate the process step by step.
Suppose, you are an affiliate
marketer. You have done everything including niche selection, keyword research,
and content generation. And finally, you have prepared your affiliate site by buying
domain and hosting. So, now everything is ready to go. Your main aim is to rank
your site on the first page of google. (I will discuss all about affiliate
marketing from the very beginning to the end in another post)
Keep in your mind that you are trying
to generate traffic from organic search. The first method I apply in my most
sites is social media marketing. Because as you see, there are a huge number of
traffic in every social sites like facebook, twitter, google plus, linkedin,
pinterest, youtube and many more.
